The RPX microcode is software that resides in flash memory on the RP2 that contains the DSP instructions for RP2 components. Every time a new version of RPvds is installed, the microcode should be updated. The RPX microcode is updated with the program PrgG21K.exe. This program is installed with the RPvds (RP Visual Design Studio) installation to the directory c:\TDT\RPvds\RPProg.

After (re)installing RPvds, run C:\Tdt\RPvds\RPProg\PrgG21K.exe and set:

#1
Type - PR2
Interface - USB

#2
Erase device

#3
Select new device and browse to C:\Tdt\RPvds\RPProg\Rp2.dxe
Press "Program Device" and wait
Programming will take about 4 minutes.
Wait until the RP2 is programmed to do anything else with your PC.
The Dout lights on the RP2 will slowly cycle as it is programmed.

When programming is finished, turn the RP2 rack off and then back on.
After updating BrainWare and drivers, there also may be a need to update TDT S3 ActiveX components.
