Monitor setting

The accuracy of stimulus presentation (and image stabilization) depends on how precisely monitor reproduces desired size and position. The VSG software requires the interline width so that it can work out the subject's viewing angle for those calculations that require knowing the angle subtended at the eye. To control this parameter (LINE WIDTH), show square of 100 pixels and measure its side in mm, then enter this number (in mm*10) to config file in c:\s3kernel\Series3 folder of VSG comp (\\Maxlab2\). Also, use monitor settings knobs to adjust width and height of the screen so that square width and height are equal.

Example:
100 pixels correspond to 49.5 mm. Enter 495 to line width entry of the file Configdl.vsg
line width =495 (æm)
